YSK that itunes gift cards can be exchanged for bitcoin and other crypto currency
I know it's an obvious scam "send me a $25 gift card." But I know two people who recently fell for it, one ended up buying $600 dollars worth of iTunes cards, the other lost all the money in her bank account as a result from it. Both of them fell for it because they thought "why would they ask for a gift card?" Which I have thought this too after coming across a few of them. Turns out they exchange them for bit coins. The YouTube channel Pleasant Green has a ton of videos on these scammers, he even helps them go clean I'd highly recommend checking him out if you're interested in learning about how they operate.

100 Bits for first 15 - Post some trusted Bitcoin Marketplace/Auction site
Hello all, I'll be giving away 100 bits for the first 15 users who can share a list or few trusted Bitcoin market place /auction sites or probably a subreddit for easy sale of digital goods like games for bitcoins without much restrictions. I have a couple of steam game keys I'd like to sell for cheap for bitcoins. I couldn't sell them on reddit on /steamgameswap cause they require some trades to be done before I could sell the games for bitcoin. I've tried listing it on Bitmarket but there's been no response on it. Here's my listing So I've been on a hunt for Bitcoin marketplace or auction sites where I could list my games for free and sell them at cheaper rates with lots of active and hopefully trusted buyers. I'm also ready to use Escrow for the benefit of both. List of Trusted Bitcoin Marketplace/Auction sites or subreddits (Picked up from comments below): 1) https://www.reddit.com/giftcardexchange/ (Exchange gift card for bitcoins) 2) https://www.reddit.com/bitmarket (Bitcoin Marketplace subreddit - Use Escrow and watchout for scammers ) 3) https://cryptothrift.com/ (Escrow temporarily disabled, I've glanced through the site, good buying and selling activity on the website. It seems their hot wallet on escrow was hacked 2 months ago, using SQL injection so they've lost 15 btc. Users in the comments are also complaining about lots of cheats and frauds in transactions, so it's not safe to deal without escrow.) 4) http://www.onewallet.io (Couldn't find a category for digital goods)

Answering all your questions about Fold >> From the co-founders
I want to thank the bitcoin community for the interest in Fold. We really appreciate the support, and as I've been reading through the posts, I saw there were a bunch of questions that keep coming up. To be transparent, I want to answer some of the questions.
How do we give 20% off at Starbucks? We also run the site cardforcoin.com. We exchange gift cards for bitcoin for a discount. We then use those cards to power Fold and pass on those savings to our customers. We enable anti-fraud measures to try and prevent bad cards from entering the system. We stand behind every transaction in Fold, so if there are any problems, let us know and we'll get you your bitcoin back.
Who are we? Fold is a startup out of Atlanta founded by Matt Luongo, Corbin Pon, and Chris Martin. We have been friends since we were in compsci at Georgia Tech and have been working on stuff together in various capacities ever since. Fold came out of a passion Matt had to do something with his excess Starbucks gift cards and bitcoin seemed like a perfect technology.
Where does Fold work? We had only intended for Fold to work in the US, at least initially. We suspected it worked in a few other countries, but only recently, we confirmed that this was possible. We currently know it works in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and Hong Kong. It also might work in Mexico, but we're not sure if the scanners can read the barcodes.
Also I wanted to mention that we ran some feedback sessions on Zapchain and here on bitcoin. I broke down all the feedback and I wanted to share the top 10 feature requests.
Add more stores
Send coffees to friends
Explain where the discounts come from
Custom payment amounts
Internationalization of denominations
Hold a bitcoin balance
It was some really great feedback, and we're reexamining updating our product roadmap to reflect this input. I hope this helps, and we'll be posting something more formal on the website real soon. Let me know if you have any other questions that I haven't answered yet. -Corbin P.S. And if you have no freaking idea what I'm talking about, no worries! Fold let's you pay for Starbucks with bitcoin. Try it at https://coffee.foldapp.com.
Best place to ask/post to exchange Xbox gift cards for Bitcoin?
(Apologies if this was not the best place to ask!) So I have two Xbox gift cards that are both worth twenty-five dollars and I would like to exchange them both for Bitcoin, but I have no idea where I can ask this. I've tried searching some websites but they look very sketchy and some don't support Xbox gift cards. I also tried looking at some subreddits. Some are dead and the main bitcoin subreddit does not allow this. Anyone know where I can post or ask people? Thanks.
